What you need to know about Trump’s golf trips

As President Donald Trump heads to the U.K., his wife, Melania, has taken her first official vacation since becoming first lady in January.

The first lady spent more than a week at her Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida last month and has since returned to New York City.

Trump’s travel schedule, which has included stops in the Middle East and South America, has been relatively quiet.

But the president has made it clear he wants to spend time on golf courses.

On Friday, Trump tweeted, “On my way to West Palm Beach, FL, I will be doing some great golf.

I’ll be playing a round with @MaggieGriffin on Sunday!”

The president has yet to announce whether he’ll play at the White House or his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club, but Trump has used his golf course visits as a way to get back in the swing of things.

Trump’s trips to Florida, New York and the Bedminster Club have drawn scrutiny because of the president’s frequent fliership.

On Friday, he told reporters that he had been playing golf in Florida for months.
