By Steve LangfelfoodNBA., Marc Stein, Jeff ZILLGITT(CBS) – NBA fans will have to wait until Friday for the final series of the NBA regular season to be played, with Miami-Detroit tied 1-1.

The series between the two teams is tied 1½-1 and is expected to go into overtime on Friday night.

The Heat and Pistons have met once before, a 108-102 Heat victory on March 14, 2018.

The game will be the first of two in the first round.

The Pistons are 1-4 all-time against Miami and won 105-97 on March 17, 2018 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Miami (44-30) won last year’s series with a 109-99 victory over the Heat in Detroit.

The Pistons shot 50.6 percent and outrebounded the Heat 48-38 in the series.

Miami was led by 30 points from Marcus Morris, who scored 20 and grabbed 12 rebounds.

The first-round series will be played at 4:30 p.m.
